Waltz Remote is just a personal project. It was written because I wanted a way to control my DirecTV box with my iPod and Laptop. I decided to make it public because I find it useful, but I have received good comments and suggestions and I will endeavor to fix bugs as time allows. If you report a bug on a browser other than the latest Chrome, Firefox or IE9, I may ask you to test the fix for me.
The main browsers used to test WaltzRemote are Firefox and Chrome. There is limited support for Internet Explorer. IE8 sort of works but IE9 should be considered a requirement for IE.
Internet Explorer Note:
- IE users must enable cross domain communication to get WaltzRemote to talk to your DVR. This has security implications so do some research before setting this or, preferably, use another browser for WaltzRemote.
If the remote works for you on another browser, please post the browser name and version and I will list it as reported as working.
